Baptism

Baptism marks the initiation of a person into the church community. In the case of baptizing a child at least one of the parents is required to be a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church of Finland. Ideally, baptism should take place within six weeks of a child's birth.


To arrange the time and location of the baptism, please contact the parish Customer service. Customer service will help you book a pastor, who will then schedule a visit with you beforehand to discuss the details of the baptism ceremony.
