Uusi Verso
Uusi Verso is a Christian community located in Tampere, Finland. At Uusi Verso, we believe everyone has important talents and gifts needed to build our church. Together we want to learn more about God and figure out ways to serve the people of Tampere.
Uusi Verso hosts church services every Sunday in either Pispala Church or Hervanta Church. Both services are held in Finnish, but translation into English is provided on site. Services at Pispala start at 17:00 and they are held on uneven weeks. Services at Hervanta start at 17:00 and are held on even weeks.
Besides church services, Uusi Verso has various groups that meet during the week. For non-Finnish speakers, we currently have only one group, Elämän suola - a small community for Arabs. Students
The student chaplaincy of the Evangelical Lutheran parishes in Tampere welcomes You to Tampere! Our services and activities are ecumenically oriented, inclusive and open minded.
Come and visit our campus chapel either at the main campus of the University of Tampere (Pinni B, Kanslerinrinne 1 5th floor) or at the Tampere University of Technology (Festia building, 2nd floor). There is also a silent room at the TAMK campus.
All these places are available for you for personal prayers, prayer services, Christian student activities etc.
Our student work is ecumenically oriented and open minded. We have good ecumenical relationships with both local Greek and Roman Catholic churches, other Protestants and especially with Anglicans. We arrange worship services, weekend camps, gospel concerts, Bible groups, sauna evenings and silent retreats.
