Seven cemeteries, thousands of stories
The parishes of Tampere maintain seven cemeteries, which also strongly reflect Tampere's history. In cemeteries you can calm down and remember loved ones, phases of your own family or get to know the monuments and the vegetation of cemeteries.
There are no cemeteries for people practising religions other than Christianity. There are separate areas for those practising the Islamic and the Greek Orthodox. Jewish faith at the Lamminpää cemetery.
