What is Scouting?
Scouting stands as the world's largest youth movement, dedicated to nurturing the development of children and young people, respecting their individual characteristics. The overarching aim is to cultivate well-rounded, responsible, active, and independently thinking members of the local, national, and international communities in terms of both personality and lifestyle.
The Scouts objectives are realized through diverse activities, with collaboration at the core of every endeavor. The Scouts comprise of five age groups, each engaged in tasks tailored to their developmental stage during weekly gatherings. Additionally, all members partake in camps, trips, and events several times a year, fostering a rich and holistic scouting experience.

Parishes foster scouting
In Tampere, parishes actively endorse the endeavors of 23 scout flags, extending financial support and offering dedicated spaces for scouting activities. Parish staff members play a vital role in aiding flag leaders, assisting with training, implementing patrol programs, and providing guidance in spiritual education. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of the parishes to the growth and development of the scouting community.
